Buying Guide

What to consider before you commit.

01

Porcelain vs quartz

Porcelain slabs handle direct heat; quartz can discolour above 150 °C. For serious cooks, porcelain wins.

02

Slab thickness

12–20 mm for counters; 6 mm for cladding. Full-body slabs allow mitred waterfall edges.

03

Sealant not required

Unlike natural stone, porcelain is non-porous — no yearly sealing.
